Risk Scale:
Red (bring 500x your bet; bad runs on blues can at times be closer to 1,000x the bet)
Minimum Play:
I want the Super Free Games (the blue number) to be in the mid-40s or the Free Games (the red number) in the low 40s. Could also play a combo with both numbers in the low 30s.
Other:
Low edge and super volatile. Not a bad one to avoid if you don’t like swings.
Here’s a very volatile game that I rarely play, but if you squint you can see there’s a slight edge when the numbers are high enough. But what the heck should those numbers be and then how should you play it?
Well, I know that some grinders either don’t know the numbers or don’t bother checking; it’s a sketchy game to begin with. But if you want to give it a go, here’s what to look for: one of the four games to have either both numbers “high” or one “damn high.” I want the Super Free Games (the blue number) to be in the mid-40s or the Free Games (the red number) in the low 40s.
Yes, the four games reset at different numbers. Fire Light resets at 7, Buffalo at 10, Wild Panther and Pompeii at 12. They all cap at 99, but it’s not a must-hit, so none of the numbers must hit by any point. Because of the differences in reset numbers, if you want to be a little looser with Fire Light and tighter with Wild Panther and Pompeii by a few gems, that’s not a bad idea. That said, we’re talking about a difference of five gems at the extreme end for a very volatile game to begin with, so don’t overthink it too much.
The red is easier to hit but generally pays less when you do hit it. You can also make a case for playing a combo with both numbers in the low 30s. Here’s what the game looks like:
Once you’ve located that number worth chasing, make sure to set all four of the games to that game (you can see exactly how to do this in the video at the end). So if the desirable number happens to be on the Wild Panther, you set them all to Wild Panther. If you don’t do that, there can never be any advantage.
My example had a big number on Pompeii (45 blue), so all four went to Pompeii. I did that by hitting “select games” on the main screen and then dragging Pompeii to all four corners (2:11 in the video). Then make sure you have the “1-4” games selected on the bottom part of the board (2:28 in the video).
Now you’re finally ready! And remember, especially if you’re chasing the Super Free Games like I was in this video, you can be in for hundreds of dollars, even on a small bet like $1.20 in this example.
After a good amount of confusion before hitting what I was going for, I did in fact get what I was chasing and was down only $78. That felt like a major win, as I could have been down $500 if things went horribly.
What did it pay? $62.30! So I hit what I was going for early and still lost, albeit small. That’s the mark of a volatile game, folks.
Here’s my video for this one:
