I found Stack Attack on a cruise ship, MSC Meraviglia, on something called a Uswitch machine. The slot offered 12 different games and one of them was this wild offering.
After some gambling on min bet to figure out how it worked, I settled on playing anytime you have at least one locked column, and that can be anywhere on the board, because the first reel is always locked when another column is.
This is an above-average play:
Notice I have locked columns in reels one, two, and five.
Now, these aren’t wilds the next spin, which would significantly increase the advantage. Instead, they will just be the same symbol. That means you could theoretically have locked columns in reels one, two, four, and five and still lose on the spin!
This game won’t cost more than a spin or two, which is always nice, but don’t expect to get rich off it if you do happen to come across it somewhere. It reminded me of another bizarre game called Fruit Charge, which you can also sometimes find on Uswitch machines in fun locales such as Puerto Rico.
