Risk Scale:
Yellow (losing 50 spins would be a bad result)
Minimum Play:
Six or more orbs would always be a play. Could play with as few as four if they are in the first three reels and ideally have multipliers.
Other:
You can look on the bottom of the screen and see if something is close right away; sort of like Happy 8’s and Jolly 8’s in that way, even though the actual game is nothing like them.
This is not the most common game to find, but it’s up there as one of my favorites. Orb Lock Dragon can sometimes take longer than you might initially think to trigger the locked wilds, so people will occasionally walk away from great setups.
Here’s close to the minimum you should be looking for:
In this example, we have five locked wilds, indicated by those glowing orbs in reels two and four. You can also see one of them in reel four has a 2x multiplier. If you were to look at the bottom of the screen, it would show “five” for that corresponding $0.60 bet:
As noted above, I’d always play six or more, but having five, with a couple in the second reel and one multiplier included, would be good enough for me too. It would be hard to imagine a scenario where I’d go with fewer than four, but even four in the first three reels, ideally with multipliers, would be worth playing.
As you spin, you’ll occasionally add more wilds to the board. At times, you’ll find grand slams like this below, though more times than not you’ll have done some of your own spinning to reach this point:
Once you spin and land a fiery-looking dragon in the fifth reel, all your collected wilds will activate. If you have a ton that line up like in my example above, that could net you 80x your bet or even more at times.
Once you’ve triggered your wilds, the play will be over and the board will look like this:
If you’re ever confused, you could just look at the bottom of the board, where it will show you exactly how many wilds are banked on each bet (it will often show nothing, meaning zero). Here’s my video for Orb Lock Dragon:
