Similar Games:
Gold Bonanza or any game where you’re chasing an inflated mini
Risk Scale:
Yellow (rarely more than 75x the bet)
Minimum Play:
First, make sure you’re looking at this game at a $1 bet and betting on the $1 bet (see video). You want 20 lines (100 credits) and a 1x bet. On the $1 bet, the yellow should be at least $14 to play. You can rarely chase green at $45 or higher on the $1 bet.
Other:
Low-edge game where you will find some inflated minis and mini-minor combos, because many pros don’t bother with it.
You won’t get rich playing this one, but hopefully you won’t lose a lot, either. This isn’t a must-hit, where any of the progressives have to hit by a certain number, but if you’re only chasing the mini, which is what I’d mostly recommend, you’re rarely going to lose 50 bets. I put “75” on the risk scale to be even more conservative.
First, what does the game even look like?
Like that. Now, this part is important: Make sure you’re looking at this game at a $1 bet and betting $1. It will look like this on the keypad below the screen:
You want 20 lines (100 credits) and a 1x bet. The reason for that is the progressives (yellow, green, blue) go up as people spin, but they don’t multiply by two and three as you increase the bet. They just get a set amount added to each increase, which negates whatever advantage we’re going for.
On the $1 bet, I want the yellow to be around $14 to play. It’s as simple as that. If the green is in the mid-$30s or so, even better, and you could consider taking the yellow at around $12 as a combo play, but I won’t normally solo-chase anything besides the yellow for this game. If the green happens to be $45 or higher on the $1 bet and you want to gamble, by all means.
I’ve seen other versions of this game that I’m admittedly not sure about yet. Below is one such example that’s probably profitable at a certain point:
For now, I don’t know when that version of the game should be taken and with so much going on, I imagine the edge would be even smaller.
For the original, hitting three or more hearts anywhere on the reels triggers the bonus. If you get three hearts, the most common, you’re awarded the yellow, plus whatever you accumulate in eight free spins.
If you gather enough hearts within the bonus, you’re eligible for the green or even the blue. What’s annoying about the hearts is they block line pays, so they can be a blessing and a curse at times.
Here’s my video for this one:
