Folks will play some other scenarios as well.

There’s some debate about what constitutes a minimum play for this game, but I’ve been going with any column that has eight free games or more at the top and one or more of the three spots underneath it filled with a diamond. So I’d pass on something like this because there’s no diamond below the eight free games in column five:

Here’s the photo blown up:

To get the free games in this example, you need to fill that last column with three diamonds, awarded on random spins. But the game is called Diamonds & Devils for a reason, as the devil removes diamonds (the jade monkey removes them on the other version of this game). The devil also wipes off the eight free games from the board completely if you don’t have any diamonds.

Something like this, with two columns having free games and one with a diamond, is a nice find:

Let me blow that up in case it’s hard to see:

As you chase free games columns, you can also fill other columns with three diamonds and win whatever’s shown in that reel. The reels don’t all reset to the same figure (reel one is the lowest at 1x the bet, while reel five is the highest at 5x the bet), but I wouldn’t put too much stock in that when evaluating potential plays.

In some scenarios, a board has a lot of big numbers with multiple diamonds and you could make a case for playing, and I explore one such example in one of my videos at the end.

More times than not, just look for eight free games or more with at least one of the spots filled with a diamond. Once you get free games, you’ll pick a few mystery symbols — it doesn’t matter where you pick, as it’s predetermined — and then begin the bonus.

Here are my two videos for these games:
