Regal Riches and Prosperity Pearl
Similar Games:
Regal Link Lion and Regal Link Raven
Risk Scale:
Green/Yellow/Orange/Red (our second “rainbow” risk scale … it all depends on what you’re playing for; more times than not, it’s going to be Green, Yellow or Orange).
Minimum Play:
Play if any of the numbers are as follows: 8 wilds, 60 minor, 85 major, 108 mega. You can also play combos. For instance, if the purple is 55 or so and the green is 80, you could play that with the idea of going for both colors.
Other:
The most popular game for pros (and semi-pros) to check.
If you polled 100 grinders, this may be the number one favorite game. But because of that, it may also be the most overchecked game in a casino. Why does everyone love it so much and why is it so hard to find a good play these days without camping?
Well, most professional grinders like a sure thing. Who doesn’t? Some games you can find as great as possible and still lose. Regal Riches and its clone Prosperity Pearl would beg to differ. Not only will you usually win on safe numbers, but these are great comp plays, because you could be spinning for a while before you ultimately pull out a win. It’s also exceedingly rare to get destroyed on a good play, even if you do lose.
So, what are we looking for with this one?
Here are some numbers to jot down or remember: 8 wilds, 60 minor, 85 major, 108 mega. The wilds are those small blue gems, and you can see the minor is purple, the major green, and the mega gold. If any of those numbers meet the criteria, it’s a play.
You can also play combos. For instance, if the purple is 55 or so and the green is 80, you could play that with the idea of going for both colors. Something like that would be the most common combo, but you could also play something like a 75 green with a 103 gold. Basically, a combination where you can hit two or more colors without investing too much money.
Unlike a lot of games, there are no pie-in-the-sky $100,000 or even $10,000 hits on the table. The best you’ll ever do is hit the mega for around 200x your bet if you’re lucky and it’s high enough. But in part because there aren’t any huge progressives to pay out, the winning rate on this game is high when you get these numbers close to their must-hits.
What do I mean by must-hits?
The purple can’t exceed 75 gems, the green can’t go past 100, and the gold can’t top 125. In other words, they must hit before or at those numbers.
As touched on above, this is one of the most common games to see people camping. They’ll wait in chairs directly behind a fish when the numbers get close to profitable, hoping the unsuspecting flounder runs out of money.
You also want to pay attention to the bet a player is on. For instance, if I see someone I’ve identified as a fish spinning on a min bet ($0.75) with the purple getting close to 60 gems, I often won’t stick around to see if they get up. At a min-bet purple, I usually make $20 or so on average if I get a good play, and that’s not worth my time.
However, if someone is spinning at $3.75 or $7.50 and something is getting close, I invest the time to see if they get up. Depending on what they leave, it could be $400, plus comp equity, waiting to get scooped up.
Also, remember that gold moves the slowest and purple the fastest (one of my videos shows just that). The blue gems come at random and can often make or break a play. The blue gems are also what you usually find when you find a play, so don’t forget to check through each denom and bet value for them. Something like this below would be hard to lose on:
The minor, major, and mega are nowhere close, but 13 blue is still a great find and yields a win over 90 percent of the time.
The bonus never pays huge — as in 400x your bet or higher that’s possible on other machines — but it always pays something of substance when the numbers are close to their must-hits. Not all games that sometimes cost a lot can say that.
The bonus can also get triggered early for any of the Big Three, and if it’s something like a 30 minor (what the number resets at), you’ll make very little. But you’ll never chase a 30 minor, so it’s nothing to worry about.
During the bonus for the mini, major, and mega, you’ll be awarded 10 free games and the gems you gathered for that color will drop at random during each game. Often, it’s best if the gems are saved toward the last few spins, but that’s something you have no control over.
