Risk Scale:
Orange (usually not more than 100x, but can sometimes drag out and be closer to 250x the bet)
Minimum Play:
See those yellow skull-and-crossbones symbols in that gray board above the reels? I usually play if I see five or fewer of them; some pros will play six or fewer. I’ve always been betting $0.90 per spin and am eligible for the mini or maxi at that number. However, it’s smarter to min bet at $0.30 if you really want to grind it out, as you’re eligible for this feature on any bet.

Is it a little zany to include such a rare old game? Perhaps. But hell, you may find a play or two out there. If you do, just know it can take a while to hit, the edge is small, and you usually won’t make much on it.
This is an ancient game in advantage circles and you can tell right away when you look at it:
It’s a pain to spin because it’s old and slow — hey, we’ll all be that way someday — and I’ve probably played it three times in my life, but there’s an advantage when you find something like the example above.
See those yellow skull-and-crossbones symbols in that gray board above the reels? I’ll play if I see five or fewer of them; some folks will do six or fewer. I’ve always been betting $0.90 per spin and am eligible for the mini or maxi at that number. If you think about it, though, betting the min of $0.30 per spin would be smarter. Betting more just decreases your already slim advantage.
The bonus we’re chasing — called the pirate’s jackpot feature — triggers at random and you’ll get three chances to look for a key that unlocks either the mini or maxi. If you find that key, you make another predetermined pick for either the mini or maxi. If you don’t find the key, you win $5 and are back to spinning. That’s why there’s an advantage with five/six of the yellow skulls and crossbones. It resets at 42.
If you get lucky, this is the best you can do (seems like a one in four chance once you find the key to get the maxi):
Not exactly a windfall of cash, but it does offer a small advantage with the right board.
A secondary free-games bonus also has the potential to pay better than the mini/maxi one, although it usually doesn’t pay much more than 20x your bet. Ideally, you get lucky and hit this free-spins bonus once or twice before triggering the bonus you’re going for.
In my video below, I took nearly an hour to finally reach the feature I was chasing! That’s not the norm, but hey, I’m glad I experienced that because I adjusted this entry afterward.
