Advantage Slots

What a strange name for a slot machine: Lucky Coin Link Asian Dreaming. But hey, whatever the name is, I’m interested if it offers an advantage. This one does, even if the advantage is small.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

This is a nice photo, if I do say so myself. Notice the section at the bottom of the game where it shows all of the bets and denoms. You’re looking for four or more coins on any bet besides the max bet on each denom. Sound wonky? I’ll explain.

First, here’s that part blown up:

You reach this game’s version of a feature when you fill up a bet’s row with five coins. But the max bet resets with three coins, so how much of an advantage could one extra coin be? I’d argue not enough of one, so I don’t play the max bet on any denom for this game. Every other bet is fair game and you can make a compelling case for playing any min bet on each denom with just three or more coins because its reset is zero coins. (That’s much like the logic with Lunar Disc.)

A slot pro I trust has speculated that if you’re missing coins two or four on the max bet, that might be worth playing, because those coins seem to come more frequently. But until we get more reps, that’s pure speculation at this point.

If any of that’s too complicated to consider or remember, just know that four coins on any bet besides the max bet is worth playing. In the example above, we see four coins on the min bet, so that’s certainly worth playing.

It’s the same deal with something like this:

You can see there are zero coins on the min bet, three on the $1 bet, four on the $1.60 bet, and three on the max bet of $2.40 on the 1-cent denom. I play that $1.60 bet until I pick up a fifth coin.

Once you get five coins, you get a free spin and your coins have a chance to land on the mini, minor, maxi, major, or grand, along with free game options or expanding wilds. You can easily brick out and make nothing on this spin, but it’s fairly low risk.

You can get free games if your coin lands on free games in the feature or if you land three or more free games symbols. In fact, that’s how you can also win the mini, minor, maxi, major, or grand: three of each or one coin landing.

In the free games bonus, you’ll usually get around 15 spins, and within those free spins you’ll average three or so features where your collected coins fly up onto the main screen and give you chances at nice wins.
