Risk Scale:

Green (usually under 10 spins)

Minimum Play:

I’ve been playing when I see one coin apiece in reels two, three, and four (so three total coins). I’ll play until I turn a reel wild and ideally multiple reels at once. I’ll also always play if there’s an active wild above reels two or three. In that case, it’s either one or two spins, depending on the board.

Other:

Coins seem to come more frequently in this game than in others included as “similar games.”

There are no multipliers on the coins, though Extreme Wild (Lanterns and Stars) does have an Ultimate Choice Jackpots vibe. Some pros might gamble with one coin in reels two and three, but because of the frequency with which the coins arrive, I’m holding steady on needing one coin apiece in reels two, three, and four. Of course, any active wild above reels two or three is also worth playing.

Let’s take a look at some examples from both versions of the same game:

Pay no attention to all the action above the reels. In this example, you can see four red stars, five white stars, and one blue star filled in. That’s just for show and has no impact on anything.

In this example, you can see one coin above reels two, three and four, meeting the minimum play requirement. You’ll keep spinning until you add more coins, with the dream to build it to something like this (a different bet, but you should get the idea):

Something like that would grant all the reels wild for one spin, with the second reel staying wild for an additional spin after that (two coins). A play is over when it looks like this:

Notice there are no more coins in reel two, even though it still does have that shiny border. But without a coin up top, it’s no longer active for our next spin. And of course, just having two coins in reels three and four wouldn’t be enough to play.

If you’re curious, here’s what the other version of the game looks like:

In this example, I have two spins, since reel two will provide an active wild for two spins. Again, pay no attention to the action above the reels (lanterns in this case). Those have no impact on anything.
