Risk Scale:

Green (usually a few spins; sometimes upwards of 15x the bet)

Minimum Play:

Eleven wilds in the first three reels combined. Also, if any wilds are glowing, play until they’re gone. Usually one or two spins for that.

Other:

It’s an older advantage game you won’t see all that often.

A minimum play on Fortune Rooster is something like this:

You’re looking for wilds, ideally above columns one, two and three. Having extras in columns four and five can help a little if you get really lucky and trigger multiple columns at once, but primarily the emphasis needs to be in the first three reels. I look for about 10 or 11 wilds in the first three reels combined, which might be a little too loose for some grinders, who may want closer to 12 or 13 wilds in those reels.

Something like this is an excellent find:

As you spin, wilds are sometimes added to each reel at random and when a column reaches the top — eight places high — it makes the bottom reel wild for two spins. It’s not easy to get multiple columns shooting down wilds simultaneously, so be prepared for a bunch of small losses before you really connect on something.

You can also find plays like this:

Notice how in this example, the wilds above column two appear to be glowing. Don’t adjust your monitor or phone; they are, in fact, glowing. This is what I was referencing earlier with getting wild reels for two spins. Column two will be wild the next spin and ideally you could trigger that third column as well during your spin.

In this example, you’re likely just investing one spin, so if you ever see leftover wilds like this in columns one, two, or three, that’s worth spinning, regardless of how the rest of the board looks.

You can also land a rooster symbol, which is rare, and that will fill up to two reels to the top with wilds. Getting three to five firecracker symbols will trigger the bonus and it’s nothing you can actively chase. It happens at random and is also rare.

Here’s my video for this one. In my example, I started with a dream setup on the max bet of $6: 15 wilds in the first three reels, with five additional wilds in reel four for good measure. Annoyingly, I lost on that great board and then gambled a bit on a much less inspiring board (4:35 in the video).
