Pirate’s Treasure and Panda’s Treasure
Similar Games:
Some elements of Miss Kitty Wild Ride and Zorro Wild Ride
Risk Scale:
Green (usually a few spins)
Minimum Play:
Black screen and at least one wild in the first three reels. If the background isn’t black, it can never be a play.
Other:
Don’t put much stock in the keys you’ll see above the reels.
Here are the basics: Don’t play when the background screen is blue (Pirate’s Treasure) or green (Panda’s Treasure); sometimes play when the background screen is black.
When the screen is black, whatever wilds are on the board will stick to the next spin. The board will also remain enlarged, if it happens to be, leading to better line hits and the potential to open chests at the top of each reel.
When it’s blue or green, nothing sticks, so blue or green can’t be a play. Ideally, those wilds are congregating toward the left side of the board, as that’s almost always the goal when we’re talking about wilds and slot machines.
I used to spin on any black screen — insert facepalm emoji — but now I’m pickier. If there’s ever a black screen and at least one wild in any of the first three columns, I’ll play until the screen is no longer black. Here’s one such example:
In Panda’s Treasure, the pandas (and wilds) are wild and you can see a wild in the second reel above. Those firecrackers in the fourth and fifth reels in this case extend the size of those reels by one.
How about this one?
It’s a black background, but no wilds and we just have extended reels in columns two and five. Pass.
Nine times out of 10, you can just look for at least one wild in any of the first three reels. If there aren’t any, don’t play. Also, don’t worry about the chest values. Sure, there might be some rare one-off examples of chasing certain prizes, but it’s not worth factoring in for the most part when looking for plays.
You’ll sometimes come across some dream finds, such as something like this:
In Pirate’s Treasure, cats (and wilds) are wild and cannons act as reel extenders. Something like the example above will yield a nice win on the next spin every time. And as long as you add another wild or extend a reel on the ensuing spin, you’ll get to keep spinning and winning.
Just to keep everyone honest, here’s an example of a non-play on the Panda version:
Remember, a green or blue screen is out, as the wilds are no longer active.
I have one video where I go over everything mentioned here:
