Duo Fu Duo Cai Grand Dragons
Similar Games:
Hurricane Horse
Risk Scale:
Green (usually a few spins)
Minimum Play:
The circular red or yellow symbols act as wilds and move up one space each spin. For a play, I’m looking for two or more wilds, with at least one of those in column three.
Other:
You’ll often find Dragons next to another advantage game called Duo Fu Duo Cai Grand (Ingotcha). The edge on Dragons is small.
Duo Fu Duo Cai Grand Dragons looks like this:
It’s purple and has the word “Dragons” written on it. For this one, the circular red or yellow symbols act as wilds and move up one space each spin. For our purposes, it doesn’t matter if the colors are red or yellow. In the example above, they happen to be yellow.
This plays more like Hurricane Horse than any other game. In the base game, you can’t get wilds in the first two columns, so for a play, I want at least one wild in the third column with at least one extra in the fourth or fifth. But remember, the wild can’t be at the very top of the board; it’s gone next spin.
In this example, we have one in column three, along with one in column four and one in column five. That said, if nothing else was added to the board, I’d play this example for only one spin.
The game doesn’t offer a big edge, like Hurricane Horse, and I much prefer the Ingotcha version.
