Zorro Power of Z
Similar Games:
Scarab principles
Risk Scale:
Green (will never take more than nine spins to complete)
Minimum Play:
At least one Zorro symbol per game, up to about spin six of 10. After that, assuming you have six or more, finish the cycle even without improvement. That said, I wouldn’t be interested in something like one Zorro symbol on spin one of 10. You’d need to invest too many spins and don’t have enough symbols banked. Same deal with two symbols banked on spin two of 10.
Other:
Not the most common slot. The money is usually made in completed columns.
This one has some Scarab-type features, but it’s certainly not a Scarab clone.
You do need to annoyingly put your voucher in to check the different denoms and bets, and once you do you’re looking for something like this:
Unlike Scarab and games more closely related to it, it doesn’t matter where on the board you collect those yellow Zorro symbols. The key is to finish a column out before spin nine, as you can’t normally add any more Zorro symbols on spin nine of 10, which is different from most games with similar elements. You still have a chance of doing so on spin nine with a “Power of Z” feature, but it’s rare.
After spinning on nine of 10, completed columns will be able to catch gems, which have various amounts of money imprinted on them. Otherwise, uncompleted columns will just be one, two, three, or four places higher on that final spin, which gives you better chances of making money on line hits but isn’t where the money is usually won in this game.
So what’s a play? It can vary, but I generally want at least one Zorro symbol per game, up to about spin six of 10. After that, assuming I have six or more, I’d just finish the play out even without improvement. Also, if one column is ever completed to the top, finish the play.
In the example above, there are five Zorro symbols and we’re on spin three of 10, so that’s one I’d almost always spin until completion. Make sure you’re not playing something like this, as anything on spin 10 of 10 won’t carry over to the next spin:
There doesn’t seem to be a true bonus for this game. The closest that something comes is when Zorro says “Power of Z” and completes a column or two with his symbol.
Completed columns can catch jewels worth various amounts of money, including the mini, minor, major, and grand, along with additional spins. But even completed columns can net you zero at times, so be prepared for some short-term disappointment.
