Magic Treasures Gold

Emperor and Empress

Similar Games:

Magic Treasures would be the obvious one, and I’ll even say Follow the Yellow Brick Road in some ways.

Risk Scale:

Orange/Red (usually won’t lose more than 150x, but can sometimes drag out and be closer to 400x the bet or even more if you’re chasing purple)

Minimum Play:

20 green or 32 purple; green-purple combo at around 40 or more; don’t solo-chase the gold unless part of a combo.

Other:

From what I’ve seen in a limited sample and what I’ve been told, you can’t solo-chase the top pot.

There’s a lot going on with this game, so what are we looking for exactly?

This is what we call a “second generation” of an advantage game, with the original being Magic Treasures, which of course looks like this:

While a play for most folks on the original is 14, it’s higher in the Gold version because your bet is getting spliced in a number of directions. How high? For now, I am looking for the green pot to be at least 20 or the purple to be at least 30. I would not chase the top gold pot by itself at any number, much like the “emerald” color in Follow the Yellow Brick Road.

However, I would also play combos, especially those involving the green and purple. For that, a combo approaching 40 total is right in my wheelhouse, at least for now. With more of a sample, this number may go up.

As you spin, you’ll collect green (most of the time), purple, and gold circles, which will increase the number for the corresponding pots. Eventually, the pot will burst and you’ll be awarded a bunch of usually small- and medium-sized prizes. What’s interesting is even if you open the lowest one (green), you have a chance of opening the other pots during the green bonus. That happens by chance, but the higher the number you have to start with, the better your chance of doing so is.

Like in the original version of this game, you can also randomly trigger the free games (blue chest) and jackpot feature (pile of gold). Those also happen by chance, as there’s no advantage element to either.

I don’t have much experience with this game yet, but I’d bring at least 150x the bet for a green chase and 400x the bet for purple. As stated above, I would not chase the top gold pot at any number and would only consider playing for it as part of a combo.

What type of combo? Something like a 14 green with a 38 gold. That way, I’ll hit green before too much damage is done but have a micro chance of getting really lucky and triggering an above-average gold. Something like a 23 purple with a 40 gold would be a more dangerous combo play you could consider.

Believe it or not, there is a third version of this game that offers no advantage, so make sure to stay away from that (Mystical Treasures):

It looks like we have similar themes (free games, jackpot, green pot), but nothing is numbered and thus nothing is ever growing. Stay away from both the Panther and Dragon versions of Mystical Treasures.
